  1. I dont wish to be rude, but this sounds confused and not what is most desired in a marriage, for most. Your saying its good that a mans sex drive plummits during marraige and all the wifes want that to? Many are trying to remedy that in their marriage, especialy the husbands and that is not a wrong thing.. Porn can be a problem , but to deal with this should not be a justification to have the husband turn down his sex drive even for sex with his wife.. Embrace sex in marraige, and i say that as an old man lonely incel whos still a virgin..

      Hello Dateless,

I think we agree more than we disagree.

I completely agree with you that a husband should fully enjoy sex with his wife.

Unfortunately, for the sex addicts this article addresses, more sex may only hurt the wife. See, some sex addicts may turn away from porn, only to use his wife as a porn substitute. This to me isn’t ‘fully enjoying sex with his wife.’ Instead it’s using her for his pleasure.

Not doing so is like giving beer to an alcoholic who used to drink hard liquor… when what he really needs is pure water and nutrients. Another way to say this is: More misunderstood sex is the last thing you should give a sex addict.

So while I agree with you that the man needs to enjoy sex-in-all-of-God’s-glory with his wife, I stand firm with the other experts in the field when it comes to an addict using his wife to continue his addiction.

Thank you for your input, though. I appreciate how respectful you were about it.
